Doran Durwood Butler's Obituary
Doran Durwood Butler, age 77, of Muskegon, MI, passed away March 9, 2010 at home. Doran was born November 10, 1932 in Muskegon, MI to Bertrand and Dorothy (Elkie) Butler. Doran married the former Marjorie M. Becker on March 24, 1956 in Muskegon and she survives him. He worked in maintenance at Campbell Grinder Company in Muskegon; and numerous foundries in the Muskegon and Grand Haven areas. He served a short time in the U.S. Navy. Doran loved spending time with his family and often took them camping and fishing. He enjoyed life and, as everyone can attest to, he enjoyed telling a good story! He was a member of many local clubs. Doran is survived by his wife, Marge M. Butler; 5 children, Becky (Andy) Bonadonna, Barbra (Rick) LaRue, Belle Butler, Bradley (Lynne Ann) Butler, Brian (Colleen) Butler; 16 grandchildren, Angelo, Joe, Jamie, Abbey (Chris), Rob (Nicole), Timothy, Jacob, Katie, Samuel, April, Shayna, Christian, Richard, Marianna, Racquel, Nathaniel and 10 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jonathan, Joshua, Noah, Ariana (who shares the same birthday), John, Trent, Aaron, Azyha and Jordan; 3 brothers, Donny Butler, Harold Butler and Norm Butler; 2 sisters, Eleanora Cato, Cheryl Kelava; 1 special aunt, Leona Brustad; and his companion shorkie dog, "Oscar"; several nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Michael Poe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertrand Bulter and Dorothy Reynolds and 1 brother, Bob Butler. There will be a private family service.
