Dorcas A. Miller's Obituary
Mrs. Dorcas Ann Miller, age 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1938 to Harold and Rena (Vanderlaan) Dobben in Muskegon. Dorcas married Dewey Miller on September 29, 1956 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2014. Dewey and Dorcas were married for 58 wonderful years and raised their son, Wayland Miller. Mr. Miller was employed by Shaw Walker Co for 27 years and Mrs. Miller was employed by Brenneman/Curtain Roll for 17 years. They then moved to Paragould, AR. The two retired in 2001 after owning and operating a Servicemaster franchise for 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Miller traveled between Arkansas, Florida, and Michigan until 2010 when they stayed in Michigan. Dorcas is survived by her son, Wayland Miller; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Rhoda Watts and Dan (Vangie) Dobben; and sisters-in-law, Mari Dobben and Dorothy Morrison. Along with her husband, Dorcas was also preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Harold and Rena Dobben; siblings, Bill (Bonnie) Dobben, Lois (Frank) Morrison, David Dobben, and Paul (Ollie) Dobben. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM, Monday, March 28 at Oak Crest Church of God (1540 Leonard St., Muskegon, 49442). Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00PM.
