Doreen McRoberts' Obituary
Doreen McRoberts, 83, of 14009 Mar Ral Road, Alpena, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Doreen was born on March 11, 1928 in Muskegon to the late Warren and Pearl (Feasel) Bradford. On January 9, 1989 she married Lawrence McRoberts and in 1993 they moved to Alpena. Mrs. McRoberts had been employed as a law firm secretary and was a member of the Alpena Free Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence; 5 children, Marla Pastor, Rodney and Patricia Pastor, Rhonda and Steve Antekeier, L. Jeffrey and Alice Pastor, Barry and Corrine Pastor; 4 stepchildren, Valerie and James Barnett, Bradley and Billi McRoberts, Lynette and Barry Adams, Brent McRoberts; several grand and great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Darrell and Sue Bradford. Doreen was preceded in death by 9 siblings. Visitation will be Friday at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S. Second Ave., Alpena, MI 49707) from 2-8 p.m. On Monday, April 4, 2011, visitation will continue at the First Wesleyan Church in Muskegon (1040 E. Forest Ave.) from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. Michael Schultz officiating. Interment: Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
