Mrs. Doris A. Arvey's Obituary
Mrs. Doris Oswald-Arvey, age 84, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 in Twin Lake, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon on January 19, 1932 to John and Bertha (Chandonette) Hill. In 1951 she married Edward Oswald and together they were co-owners of Ozzies Wet Goods Party Store in Muskegon for over 30 years prior to retiring in 1994. Edward passed away in 2005 and Doris later married LeRoy Arvey in 2009. She was an avid Tiger’s and Michigan fan. Doris enjoyed going to the casino and just being around people. SURVIVORS include her husband LeRoy; daughter, Cheri (Michael) Arnouts; 2 grandchildren, Jason (Danielle) Habetler and Joshua (Kristine) Habetler. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ruth (Ken) Beechum, Bonnie (Robert) O’Mera and Carol Lee Beltz. Doris was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremie Habetler; 2 brothers, John Hill and Richard Hill; and her stepson, Michael Oswald. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. VISITATION will be held 10AM-11AM prior to the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy V.N.S. and Hospice Services.
