Doris M. Jensen's Obituary
Mrs. Doris M. Jensen, age 90, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Poppen Residence. She was born on February 8, 1922 to William and Gertrude (Stumm) Forrester in Chippewa Falls, WI. Doris was a model of love, patience, and generosity of spirit. She loved spending time with family, especially the children. She was a member at St. Jean’s Catholic Church in Muskegon. On July 24, 1953 she married Robert C. Jensen and he preceded her in death in 2003. SURVIVORS include 4 daughters, Claudia (Carl) Bajema, Kathy (Don) Struve, Joy (Tom) Frazier and Suzanne (Gerard) Gagnon; 4 sons, William (Linda) VanderWall, John “Jack” (Peggy) Jensen, Kurt Jensen, and Kent (Kacy) Jensen; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Thornton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Vanderwall in 1950, an infant daughter Cynthia, daughter Jane, son Robert, infant grandchild Joy VanderWall and a sister Ione Billiard. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Spring Lake (406 E. Savidge St.) with Rev. Fr. Daniel R. DePew presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Monday at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice would be appreciated. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
