Doris J. Nastase's Obituary
Doris J. Nastase, an amazing and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 in Grant, MI at the age of 84. Doris loved reading, listening to country music particularly her favorite Randy Travis and spending as much time as possible with her family. Nothing made her happier than cooking for her family or having everyone over on a nice summer day, talking and laughing with the ones she loved most. Doris was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. She was born to Felix and Bedia (Rogers) Mines in Dyersburg, TN on December 20, 1930. She married the love of her life, Michael H. Nastase, on December 18, 1948 in Muskegon MI. She said it was "a match made in heaven" where they are together again for eternity. She is survived by her son, Michael F. Nastase; daughter, Tina (Ron) Stalsberg; granddaughters, Angela (Milton) Delgado, Erin Ramirez, Lindsay (Jeremy) Tilman; great grandson, Kaiden Delgado; and brother, Robert (Gwen) Mines. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Michael H. Nastase; parents, Felix and Bedia Mines; and brothers, Billy, Gerald and John. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 12 noon Monday, September 28, 2015 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church (150 Church St.) with Rev. Fr. Peter G. Vu presiding. VISITATION will be 2-4 PM on Sunday at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210. MEMORIALS to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
