Doris E. Osborn's Obituary
Doris E. Osborn, aged 94, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, in Norton Shores, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 10th, 1930, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William and Bessie Waite. She was a Class of 1948 graduate of Lee High School and a graduate of Davenport College. She was married to C. Joseph Osborn in 1973. She worked as an Executive Secretary at the Packaging Corporation of America.
She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and a great-great grandmother. Additionally, she was a business owner, serving the Glenside community with her famous cinnamon rolls in a restaurant named after her three grandchildren (“Triple T”). Doris was also a property owner. Throughout her life, she owned and maintained her family legacy: a centennial farm in Barryton, Michigan. The farm has been in the family since 1875, meaning the family will celebrate 150 years this year. Doris was a caring woman that looked out for everyone, and was always there to lend a helping hand. On any given day, you would most likely find her in the kitchen preparing something delicious with her bright red lipstick and freshly curled hair.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Waite; her mother, Bessie Waite; her husband C. Joseph Osborn; her two brothers, Donald and Dale Waite; her granddaughter, Paige Semelbauer; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her son, Richard (Teresa) Harper; her two step-daughters, Steff (Mike) Dixon and Karen Osborn Dimick; her eight grandchildren, Todd (Jill) Harper, Tracie (Tom) Woodin, Tony (Jennifer) Harper, Shelly (Rich) Borja, Jenn Zapasnic, Quint (Virginia) Dimick, Bradley Knash, and Donald Knash; her twelve great-grandchildren; and her three great-great-grandchildren.
