Doris L. Rose's Obituary
Doris L. Rose, age 81, met her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born on April 21, 1942, to Harold and Mary (Leeball) Stanton in Thompsonville, MI. Doris was a dedicated employee of Hi-Lite where she worked for 18 years. On January 24, 2003, Doris married James “Jimmy” Rose. Doris was a faithful servant and attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She liked being part of her community and was a cubs scout leader. Doris enjoyed spending her time knitting, visiting Applebee’s and spoiling her kitties, Sabrina and Sally. She was also known as the resident “grand-mother” to those at Applebee’s on Sherman. Doris’ kind and tender-loving spirit will be missed greatly. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rose; sister, Barbara (John) Sanchez; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins; and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Charboneau; two sons; Stephen Charboneau and John Charboneau; two brothers, James (Carol) Stanton Sr. and Ronnie (Judy) Stanton Sr; and sister, Sandra (Walter) Costigan. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor can be directed to Pound Buddies. Doris will be laid to rest at Egleston Township Cemetery.
