Doris Beryl Simon's Obituary
Doris Beryl Simon age 87, of Ravenna died peacefully at home in the loving presence of her family on Friday, September 12, 2014.
Doris was born on November 2, 1926 in Blanchard, MI to the late Robert and Josie (Nadeau) Reichert. She married Bernard “Barney†Simon on November 9, 1946 in Remus, MI. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2009.
Doris is survived by: 2 Daughters: Mary June (Gale) Aho and JoAnn (Dr. Timothy) Beechnau, both of Ravenna. 14 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: June Warren of Gaylord. 1 Brother: Larry (Joanne) Reichert of Florida, 2 Brother In-Laws: Gerald Simon of Big Rapids and Pat (Sheral) Simon of Remus. 4 Sister In-Laws: Darlene Warner of Saginaw, Dorothy Simon of Gladwin, Mary Simon of Blanchard and Margaret Simon of Battle Creek. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Doris was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Barney, Several Brother and Sister In-Laws.
Mass from the Order of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 12:00pm at St. Catherines Catholic Church in Ravenna with Father Fred Brucker celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. Rosary will be prayed at 8:00pm. Visitation 1 hour prior to service on Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to: St. Catherines Endowment Fund or Beechnau/Theime Fund.
