Doris J. Ogborn's Obituary
Mrs. Doris “Jean” Ogborn, age 82, died peacefully at Christian Care Nursing Center on Saturday, September 9, 2006. Jean was born August 4, 1924 in Ravenna, the eldest of ten, to the late Charles and Mary (Broton) Pennell. She worked at Yankees, University Park Care Center and Christian Care Center. She was an avid bingo player, bowler and enjoyed cooking. Jean married Kenneth Ogborn on August 15, 1942 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1984. She is survived by her six children, Ronald (Iva) Ogborn, David (Beth) Ogborn, Dede (Jim) Videtich and Kathryn (Rob) Kibbey, all of Muskegon, Barb Ogborn (Terri Conley) and Scott (Diane) Ogborn of Albuquerque, NM.; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; Special Companion of many years, Kent Avery; brothers, Charles (Char) Pennell, Robert (Linda) Pennell and Ben (Lois) Pennell; sisters, Dorothy (Earl) Bentley, Marion Robinson and Pat (Dale) Slucher. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. To celebrate her life there will be a FUNERAL SERVICE 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Lowell Wood officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2 -4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday with an hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Family requests that donations be made to the Christian Care Building Fund on behalf of Jean Ogborn. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
