Doris J. Webster's Obituary
Mrs. Doris J. Webster, age 85, passed away Friday, January 9, 2004 in Holland. She was born August 18, 1918 in Toronto, Canada to James and Ellen (Speed) Fletcher. As a baby, Mrs. Webster moved to Hart, MI where she stayed through high school, then moved to Muskegon where she lived until she moved to Holland 4 years ago. On January 1, 1941 she married Elmore E. Webster in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2000. Mrs. Webster had served as the President of the PTA and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, and crocheting. SURVIVORS include three sons, David E. Webster of Hampton, VA, Philip A. (Lisa) Webster of Holland, Wayne F. (Shelly) Webster of Ravenna; 3 grandchildren, Amy, Jillian, Andrew Webster; and 1 brother, James R. (Dee) Fletcher of Bloomfield Hills. Mrs. Webster was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. SERVICES will be Thursday, January 15, at 1:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Home, Inc, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565, with Rev. John Brown officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIALS can be made to the Good Shepard Home – Resthaven Care Center of Holland.
