Doris Jane Sieplinga's Obituary
Ms. Doris J. Sieplinga, age 88, passed away Monday morning, January 3, 2011. She was born August 22, 1922 in Muskegon to James and Nell (Tanis) Sieplinga. Her long-time church affiliation was First Christian Reformed Church of Muskegon. Her working career at Muskegon City Hall was in the office of the City Managers and Mayors of Muskegon for four decades until her retirement in 1983. Doris is survived by her sister, Lois Bluhm; nephew, James (Carole) Bluhm, niece, Dr. Shelia E. Bluhm; 4 grandnieces; 3 grand nephews; 1 great-grandniece; and 3 great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her niece, Salli (Dan) Bluhm-Leonard. SERVICES will be 3:30 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Jeff Boersma officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to the Muskegon Rescue Mission will be appreciated.
