Dorothea "Dot" Marie Gilland's Obituary
Dorothea “Dot” M. Gilland, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2017 at the Poppen Residence. She was born on November 9, 1933 to Lawrence and Eva (Fessenden) Stout. Dot loved to go to the casino, sing karaoke, and listen to country music. Her greatest love in life was her family, especially spending time with all her grandchildren. Dot is survived by her children, Sandy Bunting, Kathy (Tom) Foster, Gail Puls, Herb (Tom Russell) Puls, Carla (Gary Garvey) Johnson, David (Lisa) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; significant other, John Peteyanas; brothers, Lawrence Stout, Herb (Thyra) Stout; sisters-in-law, Pat Dailey and Rita Stout. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lucille, Ray, Ron, Joyce; husbands, Carl Johnson and Patrick Gilland. A FUNERAL SERVICE will take place on Monday, February 27, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100) at 11:00 AM with visitation taking place an hour prior to the service.
