Mrs. Dorothy "Dottie" Aue's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy A. (Dottie) Aue, age 92, passed away at Seminole Shores on July 24, 2022, following a battle with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Mrs. Aue was born in Muskegon Heights to Joseph and Rose (Schmuker) Swartz on June 30, 1930. Mrs. Aue worked as a waitress from the Muskegon Country Club from the age of 16 until 84, when she retired (68 years). She loved working there, she loved the people, and it was her second home. She loved watching sports, especially hocky and tennis. She was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Mark R. Aue of Norton Shores, two grandsons: Joseph R. Aue and wife Kelly (Johnson) Aue of Honor, MI, John W. Aue and wife Kelsie (Kelley) Aue of Kalkaska, MI; and one great-grandson Easton R. Aue. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert C. Aue on January 30, 2008, after 56 years of marriage. Out of respect for her wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Aue, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Kindred Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
