Dorothy M. (Wozny) Bentley's Obituary
Dorothy M. Bentley, age 89, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019. She was born on April 10, 1930 to Charles and Mary (Broton) Pennell in Muskegon, MI. She was employed at Muskegon Piston Ring for 32 years. She retired in 1987. In 1951 she married Julian “Tony” Wozny until he preceded her in death on February 15, 1978. She then remarried Earl Bentley in 1981. He also preceded her in death on August 19, 2016. She truly enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and dear friend. Dorothy will always be remembered for her great cooking and baking abilities and never allowing anyone to go hungry. She was a tender-loving soul who will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her 4 children, Judy (Lee) Leiter, Bob (Brenda) Wozny, Tony (Carrie) Wozny and Don Wozny; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Grooten, Christine, Drew, Lea, Kurt and Lauren Wozny, and Lindsey (Jason) Bentley-Kittel; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Cassi, and Kaity Grooten; brothers, Bob (Linda), Kenneth, and Charles Pennell; sister, Marian Robinson and dear friend, Doris Zielinski. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Pennell; sisters, Jean Ogborn, Betty Schrump, Patsy Slusser and Shirley Klunder; and granddaughter, Melissa Wozny. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Fricano’s Muskegon Lake, 1050 W. Western Ave. Suite 200, Muskegon, MI 49441 with a time of fellowship from 1-1:30PM. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Christian Care Nursing Center/Memory Care for the great care Dorothy received.
