Dorothy Emma Jean Blanchard's Obituary
Dorothy E. Blanchard, age 96, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was born December 21, 1927 in Jackson, MI to George and Anna May (McIntosh) Shaver and lived in Jackson and Spring Arbor for most of her life before moving to Norton Shores. She worked as a bookkeeper for Ganton Retirement Community for years prior to her retirement. Dorothy loved spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very active at Maranatha Bible & Missionary Conference. Her greatest joy was knowing that all her family knew Jesus Christ as their savior. Survivors include 2 daughters, Carlene (Burton) Kingsley, Debra (Dennis) Goodrich; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Goodrich, Aaron (Glori) Goodrich, David (Lindsay) Goodrich, Trevor (Bre) Kingsley, Suzanne (Benjamin) Eller; 16 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Josiah, Autumn Faith, Gibson, twins Grant and Graham, twins Jackson and Caiden, Porter, Rylie, Ellie, Brecken, Trey, Olivia, twins Emma Jean and Abigail June. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Rev. Bill Oudemolen officiating.
