Dorothy Bollenbacher's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Bollenbacher, age 90, passed away August 10, 2005. Mrs. Bollenbacher was born November 20, 1914 to Henry and E. Grace (Johns) Smith in Chicago, IL. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she took part in the Naomi Circle and also participated in the Glenside Neighborhood Bible Study. Dorothy had been employed as a clerical worker at Consumers Energy for some time. She was salutatorian of her class at Grand Haven High School and was active in the Muskegon Color Camera Club. On October 5, 1957 she married LaVere A. Bollenbacher in Grand Haven, MI, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1995. Survivors include 4 step-daughters Gloria (Merle) Meeter of Vacaville, CA, Judith (Charles) Price of Rawlings, MD, Carol (David) Andrews of Woodburn, IN and Nancy (Ronald) Laws of Rochester Hills, MI; 12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law, Paul (Minnie) Luytjes; and cousin, Robert (Ernestine) Pennock. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Chaplain Jan Johnson officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday.
