My sincerest condolences are offered to the family and friends of Dorothy Clark. Dorothy was a dear and gentle soul who guided me so many times on my journey of faith. She guided me as a mentor when I became a staff member of Our Savior's in 1999 and guided me as a person through trials and tribulations of my own faith life. She set a wonderful example of the life a follower of Christ should strive for.
She never complained about her own struggles, always giving as much of herself as she could. When she was no longer able to be an office volunteer, she continued to be a guide, to offer her wisdom....never unsolicited but when you asked, she was there with the right words and the right path.
She was a pray-er. I always knew when she was called for the prayer chain, she would write down all the information and she would begin to pray....I could close my eyes and imagine....from Dorothy's lips straight to God's ear.
When I chose to leave Muskegon last year, the last time I saw her, I hugged her for so long and gave her a lingering kiss on the cheek....I knew time and distance would present the chance....and it did happen.
To her family, please know that there were people in Louisville, at the new church where I work, praying for her during her illness and continue to pray for all of you.
She will be so missed by everyone who knew her gentle kind and loving ways.
I am so sorry.
With love and respect,
