Dorothy Dexter's Obituary
Dorothy Dexter, age 69, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at Mission Point Skilled Nursing in Big Rapids. She was born September 3, 1950 in Grand Haven to Charles and Eva (Shefield) Wade.
Dorothy was a talented artist and loved ceramics, horses, Elvis and playing bingo. Her life drastically changed in 1991 when she had a stroke and the family thanks all those over the years that not only helped with Dorothy’s care, but also those who helped the family from the smallest to the biggest items that life brings you…thank you.
She is survived by her three children: Michael (Angela) Johnson of Morley, Timothy Johnson of Tamarac, FL, and Amanda Dexter of Muskegon; cousins, MaryJane Rolfe, and Andy Garrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva.
A graveside service will take place 1:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2020 at Allendale Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy may be given to Grace Hospice. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com
