Dorothy "Dolly" Ann Lascari's Obituary
Dorothy "Dolly" Ann Lascari, 78, died early Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.
Known to loved ones as Dolly, she was born July 26, 1947, to Theodore Bernard Lascari and Marylou (Peters) Lascari in Grand Rapids. She attended Marywood Academy and Aquinas College.
Dolly dedicated her career to education, teaching elementary classes for 33 years at Stoney Creek Elementary in Comstock Park and college courses at Aquinas College.
Dolly was an artist, tennis and pickleball player, gardener, animal advocate, photographer, trivia lover, and card player. She loved her cats and watching Everybody Loves Raymond. She was an expert gift giver and kept the post office in business sending custom art, personal letters, cards and books. She had an infectious laugh, bright smile, and wonderful hugs. She brought joy to everyone in her life.
She lived in Grand Rapids and then Grant, Michigan, where she made friends with neighbors on Hess Lake. After retiring, she spent more than 15 years at the Tropic Star RV Resort in Pharr, Texas, where her parents had retired. She then returned to Grand Rapids to be close to family. She passed away at Harbor Homes Assisted Living & Memory Care in Norton Shores, where she was very well taken care of by the amazing staff.
Dolly was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her siblings Marilou Lascari(Ron Lichty), Beth Lascari, Ted Lascari (Maggie Lascari), and Mike Lascari (Anita McBride); ex-husband Tim Maclam; devoted friend Rosie Stellino; and 9 nieces and nephews and their children.
The family is planning a memorial service in her honor at a future date.
