Dorothy Ann Doza's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Ann Doza, age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Lorain, Ohio on March 18, 1930 to Michael and Mary (Skolek) Ondo. On September 25, 1948, Dorothy married Joseph Doza and he preceded her in death in 1973. Dorothy was a 65 year parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was employed in accounting for JCPenney for many years prior to her retirement. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, a nice drive- especially around Pere Marquette, reading, Hallmark movies, playing cards, traveling, tai chi classes and playing on her iPad. She was a deeply beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend whose gentle spirit and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. A woman of steadfast faith, she radiated warmth and compassion, and those who knew her often remarked on her genuine, loving nature and the grace with which she lived her life. She is survived by her children, Edward (Joan) Doza, Gayle (Jeff) Lacross, David (Rita Anderson) Doza, Phil (Holly) Doza, Mary Baude, and Janice (Jim) Manston; 17 grandchildren, Scott (Heidi) Doza, Jeff Froster, Danielle Genovese, Lexie Guanchez, Jordan Doza, Brandon (Michelle) Doza, Stacy Doza, Adrian Doza, Tyler (Alex) Doza, Jessica Baude, Kendra Baude, Lauren Manston, Kyle Manston, Jimmy Manston, and Jonathan Manston; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents; son, Joseph Doza; grandsons, Eric Doza and Tony Doza; great-grandson, Evan Genovese; and siblings, Mildred Szymczak and Edward Ondo. VISITATION will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel (2929 McCracken, Muskegon, MI 49441).
