Dorothy (Hill) Miller's Obituary
Dorothy Ruth Grant (Hill) Miller passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Grand Oaks Nursing Home in Baldwin, Michigan. She was born November 11, 1925 in Muskegon, Michigan to Leonard and Delphine (St. Charles) Grant, where she resided until moving to Baldwin, in 2010. Dorothy had attended St. Mark Lutheran Church, in Muskegon; and had retired in 1992 from Almond Enterprise (formerly Kersman) where she had been employed 28 years. On August 22, 1964 she married Alanzo Jackson “Jack” Miller; and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Virginia, Thelma and Geraldine; 1 brother, Norbert “Bud” Grant; her grandson, Michael Dale Hill; and 2 step-children, Arnold and Jackie. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Dale (Barb) Hill and Sarah (Guy) Gibbs, all of Baldwin; 5 grandchildren, Steve (Michelle) Gibbs, Jim (Jennifer) Hill, Leon (Rena) Gibbs, Jodie Gibbs and Angie Gibbs; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 step-daughters, MaryAnn, Charlene, Darlene and Beth; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. GRAVESIDE services are being held 1:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2016 at Mona View Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Fienen, officiating.
