Dorothy E. Hislop's Obituary
Dorothy E. (Felgenhauer) Hislop, age 96, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022. She was born on August 22, 1925 in Muskegon to Roy and Kathryn (Madderon) Lundquist and was a life resident of the area. Dorothy was a member of Covenant Community Church since she was a small child. She was involved as a Deacon, choir member, Ladies Guild, Women’s Bible Study and a Sunday school teacher. Dorothy was an avid reader, enjoyed decorating for the holidays and loved spending time with her family. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Lowery and later for Dr. Packer. SURVIVORS include three children, Lynn (Ted) Forward, Alan (Greeta Hootman) Felgenhauer and Tom (Kathy Cassells) Felgenhauer; three grandchildren, Ray Forward, Dorothy (Larry) Mitchell and Dale J. (Cathy) Felgenhauer; sister, JoAnn Hill; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Felgenhauer in 1992, and Marvin Hislop in 2014; and her son, Curtis Felgenhauer in 2009. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 12 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave. Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210 with Pastor Mark Bush officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5:30-7:30PM Monday and an hour prior to the service from 11-12PM Tuesday all at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
