Dorothy B. O'Grady's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy B. O’Grady, age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Muskegon. She was born on July 6, 1928 in Cunningham, KY to David and Ola Marie (Bone) Hamilton, and resided in the Muskegon since 1949. She worked at Gardner Denver for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1985. Mrs. O’Grady was a volunteer for many years for the Democratic Party during elections, she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and her dogs. On October 30, 1950 she married Patrick O’Grady, and together celebrated 62 years of marriage. On December 25, 2012, Patrick preceded her in death. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Michael (Marna) O’Grady of Twin Lake, Robert (Carla) Diamond of Charlotte, NC and Susie (John) Hite of Bartlett, TN; 9 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; brother, Dr. James (Elizabeth) Hamilton of Covington, GA; sister, Marti Bingham of Louisville, KY; and sister-in-law, Bettie Hamilton of Centerline, MI. Mrs. O’Grady was also preceded in death by her sons, Franklin and Patrick, Jr; grandson, Michael O’Grady; granddaughter, Lorie Gamble; sister, Katherine Smith; and brothers, David and Kenneth Hamilton.
