Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Reinertson's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Reinertson, age 103, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on August 25, 1908 to Ellis and Myrtle (Bertleson) Carlson and was a life resident of the area. Mrs. Reinertson graduated from Muskegon High School in 1926. She was an active member of Samuel Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved music, playing Bridge with her friends, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Tom) Fredrickson; her son, Tom Reinertson; 4 grandchildren, Kristin (Greg) Moore, Todd (Erin) Fredrickson, Matthew Reinertson, Julie Reinertson; and 13 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Melvin Reinertson; her parents; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Reinertson; 1 brother, Elvin; and 1 sister, Lucille. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Samuel Lutheran Church (540 Houston, Muskegon, MI 49441) with Pastor Marcy Miller officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Samuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
