Dorothy Muriel Scott's Obituary
Dorothy Muriel Scott, age 91, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Sanctuary at the Shore. She was born September 24, 1925, in Bristol, England, to Andrew and Agnes Annie (Strachan) Scott.
Dorothy moved to the area around 1958 from Marine City, MI, and was the office manager at the medical practice of Dr. Peter McArthur, MD for 27 years. She loved painting and writing poetry and missives, and she also enjoyed gardening. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Bunt” to her three nephews, to whom she was very close.
She is lovingly remembered by two nephews, Peter (Jennifer) McArthur and Andrew (Vanessa) McArthur; her niece-in-law, Michelle McArthur; six great-nephews: Peter McArthur III, Patrick McArthur, Aidan McArthur, Jordan McArthur, Will McArthur, and John McArthur; great niece, Amy McArthur; cousin, Nancy (Oakley) Orser and her daughter, Amanda (Rob Forsyth) Orser. She was preceded in death by her parents; her younger sister, Edna McArthur on January 6, 2014; and her nephew, Jamie McArthur in 2010.
