Dorothy Seaver's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Seaver, age 90, peacefully left behind all painful suffering and met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday morning, October 18, 2013, in Muskegon. She was born May 31, 1923 in Pembroke, MA to Harlie and Sarah (Gauley) Danforth, and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1945. Dorothy was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church. On August 3, 1945, she married James C. Seaver and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1995. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Duane (Sylvia) Seaver of North Muskegon and Karen Seaver, M.D. of Norton Shores; 2 granddaughters, Kristin (Loyd) Jenkins of Grandville, MI and Karla (David) Born of Kalamazoo, MI; 3 great-grandchildren, Elia, Chella and Jaida Jenkins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin (Nadine) Seaver, Esther Seaver, Carol Johnson, Ferris Hering and Abe (Ruth) Newmyer. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, Alfred Danforth, Marguerite Collins, Edith Dorey and Delvina Neary. The family wishes to thank Dorothy’s caregivers, who lovingly cared for her during the last one and a half years of her illness. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Forest Park Covenant Church (3815 Henry Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441) with Pastor Wally Coots officiating. Interment will be in Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION with Dorothy’s family will be 6-8:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100). In lieu of flowers, consider memorial contributions to Forest Park Covenant Church.
