Dorothy Wilson's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Wilson, age 93, of Spring Lake, MI and former long-time resident of Upper Arlington, OH and Indian River, MI passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Olive (McClary) Miller. She graduated from Columbus School for Girls and attended college in Boston, MA. On April 2, 1947, she married James Graham Wilson, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1995.
Dorothy and James shared a love for Michigan and eventually retired to Mullett Lake, Indian River, MI. She had a good sense of humor, a beautiful singing voice, was an excellent cook, had a love for gardening and animals, a good eye for interior and fashion design, enjoyed bridge and was a caretaker to those who were in need.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (James) Kight, of Mansfield, OH, and Sally (Thomas) Baker of Grand Haven, MI; five grandsons: Brian (Jacqueline) Kight, Daniel (Allison) Kight, Steven Kight, Bradley (Lindsay) Baker, and Christopher (Fiancée, Allison) Baker; Nine great-grandchildren: Sarah, David, Christopher Kight, Cameron, Matthew, Jillian Kight, Laura, Hannah Kight, and Addison Baker.
In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes there will not be a service at this time. Memorial contributions in her memory may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa Community (1309 Sheldon Rd, Grand Haven, MI 49417). Please sign the family’s online guest book at www.systemafh.com.
