Dorothy Jean (Schlueter) Wright's Obituary
Dorothy Jean (Schlueter) Wright, age 89, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1935, in Luther, MI, to John and Frances (Simpson) Schlueter and spent most of her life in Muskegon, MI.
Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Homer Wright, in July 1954, and together they shared 66 wonderful years. She worked as an Executive Secretary at GTE for 30 years and spent an additional 5 years at Lift-Tech before retiring. After retirement, Dorothy and Homer dedicated 12 years to the Mobile Missionary Assistance Program (MMAP) with the Wesleyan Church, joyfully serving others.
Dorothy had a love for reading, a passion for discovering hidden treasures in antique shops, and a deep commitment to sharing the love of her Lord with everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Gregory) Robillard of Muskegon, MI; granddaughter, Katherine (Nicholas) Penna of Chandler, AZ; great-grandson, Corbin Penna of Chandler, AZ; brother, John Schlueter of Westfield, IN; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Homer Wright; her sisters, Delores (Leon) Beighley and Donna Cooper; and her brother, Dennis Schlueter.
In accordance with Dorothy’s wishes, no visitation or service will be held.
