Dorothy B. McQueen's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy B. McQueen age 90, passed away Saturday evening, March 11, 2006 in Muskegon. Dorothy was born on April 4, 1915 to Clyde and Mae Saunders in Grand Rapids and has lived in the area all of her life. She owned and operated Dorothy’s Restaurant and Dorothy’s Antique for over 30 years. In 1932, she married Floyd McQueen in Indiana and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1994. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Bonnie (Roy) Marshall of Twin Lake, Beverly (Robert) Rickert of Muskegon, Patricia Hanson of Muskegon and Robert McQueen of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. McQueen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leon Saunders; and sister, Inez Parker. Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor John Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Hospice of Michigan would be appreciated.
