Grandmother,
Words cannot begin to express the love I have for you in my heart. Over these last 38 years you have been the tie that bound our family together, the hope that we would all find our paths, the strength that any one of us needed in times of trials, and, most of all, the love that always seemed to bring us all back together. You have been, are now, and will always be loved. In my mind I see you and Grandpa standing at the top of the hill, under the malberry tree, holding hands and watching over me.
If only I could find the words
If only I could make them rhyme
I'd write a song that would be just yours
That angels might sing you throughout time
If not for you, where would we be
If not for you, my Grandma dear
Now we lay thee down to sleep
No more pain, no more tears
And who are we but those who love you
Who are we but those who's lives you filled
You will be greatly missed Grandma dear
And I know you'll be there when we need you, even still.##imported-begin##Michael T. Findley##imported-end##
