Dorothy Grace St. John's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy G. St. John, age 87, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born January 14, 1922 in Gladbrook, Iowa to William H. and Nellie (Merrit) Brubaker. She married Ivan R. St. John in Sparta, MI on August 23, 1940. Together, they owned and operated St. John Truck and Trailer until retiring in 1984. Dorothy was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Muskegon and was a very active member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. SURVIVORS include: her husband, Ivan; 2 children, Donald (Charlotte) St. John of Arviat, Nunavoot Territory, Canada and Susan (Richard) Hazekamp of Norton Shores; 1 sister, Shirley (Al) Hendershot of Waterloo, IA.; 3 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
