Dorothy M. Skeba's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy M. Skeba, beloved wife of Clem Skeba, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2006. She was born September 23, 1917 in Cedar, MI to Bernard and Lucille (Galla) Peplinski and lived in the Muskegon area since 1943. On May 29, 1941, she married Clement J. Skeba in Cedar, MI. Dorothy was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of great faith who enjoyed a very close relationship with her Lord and Savior and her family. She enjoyed sewing, reading and walking. Dorothy was an excellent cook and found great joy in baking many delicious meals over the years. She especially enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Cedar, MI. She will be greatly missed, but as she often said to her family, she was only on loan to us for a short time. Dorothy was a charter member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Polish Falcons Women’s Auxiliary
SURVIVORS include her husband of 65 years, Clem; 4 children, JoAnn (James) Christensen, Bob (Maureen) Skeba, Sandra (Roger) Katt, Carol (David) Johnson; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Hylland, Julie (Nate Spahn) Christensen, Christine (Dave) Bodnar, Rhonda (Steve) Fisher, Carly (Jeff) Silk, Kimberly (Michael Condella) Sieffert, Danielle Hussey, Hiliary Johnson, Alyssa Johnson and Jared Johnson; 9 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Edward (Beatrice) Peplinski; 4 sisters, Winifred Ziets, Marie (Leonard) Hurrell, Irene (Ed) McClary, Theresa (Leonard) Schaub; and special friend, Marie Ziegler. She was preceded in death by her 2 infant sons, Thomas and Ronald Skeba; 3 sisters, Adeline Moore, Lillian McClary, Beatrice Peplinski; 4 brothers, Raymond, Gerald, Bernard, and Al Peplinski.
THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 1:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2006 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato as Celebrant. INTERMENT will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with Dorothy’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at
