Oh my this is so hard.This was such a shock to me. I loved Dottie dearly. I am so glad we three sister's went to see her on the 14th. So sorry this had to happen to all of you, but we have to accept death is part of life. She is with Jesus now. We all know that. She lived a very spiritual life and passed her knowledge on to others. Phil, you have been such a gem of a husband to her through the year's. I know all of your children are there for you. I love you all. We are so sorry to hear about Dot's passing. We have all got good memories of our get togethers and reunions. Happy memories of loved ones help keep us going. We lost our Lamar three years ago. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Phil, I was saddened to hear that Dottie passed away. I know she is getting her rewards in heaven, and the angels are their greeting her with lots of joy. She certainly was a wonderful christian lady that will be missed. Many times we would chat on the bike path. We have been church friends for so many years and our children grew up together at Wesleyan Church. I had Janice in my Sunday School Class.
I want to express my sympathy to you and all the children, and grandchildren. I wish I could have been to the service Monday but I am in Roswell, Ga. with my son's family.

Phil and family. So sorry to hear about the loss of Dottie. While I was very young when we were neighbors, I remember Phil always used to call Jeannie and I night and day. It has been years since those days on Leonard. I'm now living in St Louis so I was not able to make the services. However, we really appreciated Phil and Dot making it to my dad's funeral in 2006. Dear Phil and family:
Dot was the first neighbor we met when we moved to Kelly Street in 1972. I used to give her perms and do her eyebrows and she'd give me perms. We spent many mornings over a cup of tea when my kids were young. We helped each other with sewing projects and she always had good advice. I'll always remember what a hard worker she was. She was always helping others in need. I wanted to write a "flower" in the GH Tribune to thank her for keeping Kelly Street so clean -- she forbid me! She never failed to pick up a piece of litter that someone had left. We'll miss her walking or riding by and stopping to chat. The neighborhood will never be the same.

Treasure your memories of a wonderful woman. She loved you all.

What a shock! I last saw Dottie not long ago in Orchard market and, she was complaining about her unruly hair and telling me tomato soup was on sale. saying it was a good cheap meal for her and Pa. We talked for a long time in that soup section laughing and talking about our kids ( she loved you all dearly )
We just never know when our time will come but I know Dottie would want to make sure all her family made it to heaven to see her again someday. she will be missed at Orchard market and I will never again walk through that soup section with out thinking about dottie##imported-begin##april (rose) neitring##imported-end##
