Beth Bricker
Was so sad to hear of Doug’s passing. I set up next to him at Allegan for over 20 years. So many fun memories of Allegan, Burley Park, Centerville and Midland with Doug. One fond memory that Doug would often bring up was how when my son Tommy was little he would climb into Maggie’s cage and play with her at the show. We shared a lot of memories chatting the whole weekend as we sat at the show. When it rained we would shop, I would watch his booth when he went to use the “bathroom” aka shop. He always said he would be quick and always came back with his arms loaded. When my husband, Don, was in a motorcycle accident he came up to Mary Free Bed multiple times to keep us company. When Tommy graduated, Doug came. When Tommy got married, Doug came. He would do anything for you at any time. He was such a wonderful friend and I will miss him and our phone conversations.
My condolences to all his family and friends.
