Douglas M. Marra's Obituary
Mr. Douglas M. Marra, age 59, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Albany, NY to William and Beverly (Babcock) Marra, and had resided in the area for most of his life. Doug worked as a Financial Consultant in the area for many years, and over the last few years worked in building and remodeling. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS include life partner, Jane Barclay; daughter, Melisa (Bob) Bockrath of Rochester Hills, MI; 2 grandchildren, Colette and Luke; 2 sisters, Kathy (George) Copello and Betsy (Jon) Vogel both of Georgia; and was a much loved Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by son, Derek; granddaughter, Sofia Bockrath; his parents, William and Beverly; brother, David; and sister, Susan. SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday at, The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 PM Tuesday. He will be buried in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to The Muskegon Community Foundation would be appreciated.
