Dr. Allan J. Bergklint's Obituary
Dr. Allan J. Bergklint age 69, passed away Wednesday morning May 31, 2006. He was born on February 27, 1937 to Wilfrid E. Bergklint and Ruth E. (Matthews) Simons in Muskegon. On June 3, 1961 he married, Christine Nelson in Muskegon. Dr. Bergklint served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga. He had worked many years for financial companies and was owner of Olson’s Store for Men before starting Bergklint Chiropractic Health Care Centre, a private practice he ran in Roosevelt Park for 27 years. He graduated from Muskegon Height’s High, Muskegon Community College, Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Bergklint was a member of Muskegon Chiropractic Physician’s, Michigan Chiropractic Society, Lovell Moore Lodge of Free Masons, Linne Lodge #57 International Order of Vikings, Austin Healey Club of Michigan, Mad Dogs & Englishman Sports Car Club, U.S.S. Saratoga Association, Lakeside Veterans Club. Allan and his cousin Charles Matthews organized and participated in the first Drill Team at Linne Lodge #57 I.O.V. SURVIVORS include wife, Christine, 2 children, David (Dawn) Bergklint of Plainfield, IL and Charlynn (Scott) Johnson of Twin Lake; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Merritt (Helane) Bergklint of Muskegon and Eugene (Rebecca) Bergklint of Traverse City; Sisters-in-law Corrine (Tom) Berglund and Mary Ann (Mark) Lillmars; Mother, Ruth E. Simons, Mother-in-law Elaine Nelson; Special Aunt, Betty Brown; many very special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Wilfrid E. Bergklint. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday June 3, 2006 at Samuel Lutheran Church. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. Memorial Contributions can be made out to Hackley V.N.S. Hospice.
