Dreux A. Bourdon's Obituary
Dreux A. Bourdon, age 60, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 2, 2020. He was born on September 23, 1959 to William and Marie (Holstrom) Bourdon in Muskegon, MI. He dedicated many years working as a Maintenance Manager at GMI Composites and afterwards worked at Polyply Composites in Grand Haven until he became disabled. On July 21, 1984 he married the love of his life, Lori Moore in Memphis, TN. Together they cherished 35 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Dreux was known to be an avid hunter and ice fisherman. He had a love for motorcycles and enjoyed spending time on Muskegon Lake with his friends. Dreux also had a tender spot for animals and was a huge animal lover. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his infamous “Dreux-isms”. He was a smart and kind-hearted man who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lori Bourdon; 4 fur babies, Spanky, Darla, Jet and Olive; sister, Tracey (Clayton) Lowe; 2 brothers, Craig Bourdon and Kevin (Sharlene) Bourdon; several nieces and nephews; best friend, John Trombley and good friend, Kenneth “Gootz” Petersen. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Time of Gathering with the family to honor Dreux’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 2-4:00PM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441. Memorial contributions in Dreux’s honor can be made direct to Pound Buddies or The National Kidney Foundation.
