I, along with Travis, worked in Security at Mercy and have been blessed to work along side Dr. Bond on many diffrent ocassions. He was a awesome human being and truly one of the most influential people I met while working at MHP. Even on his sickest days he would be here working and always caring about others. Dr. Bond was one of the stongest men I have ever met in my life. Even after being diagnosed, he continued working until he absolutely could not any more. I worked Security at the hospial for almost 8 years, and worked with Dr. Bond on many occasions in the hospital morgue. He truly was an icon in the hospital, as well as in the community. As oncology nurses, it was first our pleasure to work with J.D. at Mercy these past years. He was a wonderful pathologist and person; he always had time to answer our questions regarding a patient or case...and did it always with a smile.
Then, it became our priviledge( as sad as that was for us) to be a part of his care at the Cancer Center.
We are so very sorry for your loss; he has left everyone much too soon. We won't forget him.
