Duane Lee Hudson's Obituary
Mr. Duane L. Hudson, age 72, went to be with his Lord early Friday morning, November 26, 2004. He was born in Coopersville, MI on July 20, 1932 to Glen J. and Fannie (Leggett) Hudson and had been a resident of Muskegon most of his life. Mr. Hudson was in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War, and was employed 33 years at Sealed Power as a machinist, before retiring in 1987. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene – Eastwood Campus. On April 2, 1953, he married the former Marlene Burley, and she survives him along with 4 daughters, Candy (Dennis) Crane, Marla (Brian) Punches, Pam (Greg) Carlson, Rhonda (Randy) Carlson; 10 grandchildren, Michael and Mandy Crane, Heidi (Travis) Bolles, Heather and Holly Punches, Nick and Adam Carlson, Lindsay (Asa) Carr, Valarie and Kimburley Carlson; great-grandson, Tyler; brother Dale (Mabel) Hudson; 2 sisters, Yvonne Welch, and Mary (Bob) Bonner. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister Dixie; and 2 brothers, Lavern and George. Services will be 11AM Monday at Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Thomas Parks officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2-4 & 7-9PM Sunday at, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
