Earl R. Roomsburg's Obituary
Earl R. Roomsburg, age 84, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 21, 2019. He was born May 16, 1935 in Grand Rapids, MI to Lawrence and Gertrude (Aurich) Roomsburg. Earl worked as a construction worker for many years for Union Locals 865 in Muskegon and 355 in Battle Creek. When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family, he loved spending time outdoors. On January 25, 1958, he married Florence Joanne Perry in Rockford, IL and she survives him along with 3 children: Brenda (Russell) Zuidema, Richard Roomsburg, Angela (Tony) Driscoll all of Muskegon; six grandchildren: Tiffany England, Russell Zuidema Jr., Nicholas Zuidema, Matthew (Courtney) Driscoll, Megan Driscoll, and Derek Driscoll; one great-granddaughter, Kathryn England; brother: Gus Roomsburg; sister, Leona Naffziger; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melanie Joy; son, Kevin James; eleven brothers and sisters. SERVICES for Earl will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
