Mr. Earl Duane Weaver's Obituary
Mr. Earl Duane Weaver, age 90, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 4, 2018. Earl was born September 7, 1927 in Toledo, OH, to Leland Earl and Aletha Gertrude (Darling) Weaver. On September 21, 1948, he married the former Arlene May Burke in South Bend, IN, and she survives him. Earl worked as a truck driver for Darling Freight, Keyline Freight, and Alvan Motor Freight, a total of 42 years, retiring in 1986. He was a longtime member of Teamsters Union #406. Earl came from a musical family, enjoyed Big Band music and sang in the choir at First Christian Church where he and Arlene were members. He loved driving, family vacations, traveling, and camping. He was loved and his memory cherished by Arlene, his wife of 69 years; his children, Sue Weaver of Washington, D.C., Madelyn Leslie of FL, Diane (Dana) Weaver of Maryland, Julie (Bryan) York of Dayton, OH, and Leland Thomas Weaver of Muskegon; grandchildren, Amanda Leslie, Heather Brisendine, Ashley York and David York; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Brisendine. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Vern Perry, Beth Sharp, and LaNore Wilhelm. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the First Christian Church in early Summer.
