Earl Henry Wills' Obituary
Earl Henry Wills, age 72, of Spring Lake passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. He was born October 30, 1936 to George H. and Edna (Lewis) Wills in Grand Haven. Earl married Sharon K. Montague on November 22, 1958 in Grand Haven.
Earl was a Journeyman Tool & Die maker and worked primarily in Manufacturing Management. He was, as well, a professional over the road truck driver. Earl was a proud veteran having served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; a daughter, Joan (Dennis) Wills-Birch of Spring Lake; a son, Ray (Rita) Wills of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren: Ellyse Birch & Anita & Kella Wills; 2 sisters, Verla Beth (George) Thomas of Grand Haven, Ernamae (Roger) Weidner of Colorado; and a brother, Lewis E. (Ann) Wills of California. Earl was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George and Dennis, and a sister, Laura Young.
A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Sgt. Alvin Yonker Post #2326 of the VFW with Rev. Jerald Poehl presiding. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Honor Guard. Interment will be at the Spring Lake Cemetery at a later date.
