Ebba Gerda Slorf's Obituary
Mrs. Ebba G. Slorf, age 97, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She was born on August 20, 1915 in Muskegon to Oscar and Ingaborg (Wallin) Johnson, and resided in the area all of her life. Mrs. Slorf was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing and belonged to the Lincoln Golf Course for over 40 years. Mrs. Slorf worked at Muskegon Piston Ring for several years. On May 17, 1939, she married Louis K. Slorf and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2001. SURIVIVORS include 2 children, Larry Slorf of Muskegon and Christine (Bill) Ogden of Branch, MI; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Krowlowicz of Springfield, IL. Mrs. Slorf was also preceded in death by her grandson, Mike Stone; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 10AM Wednesday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church - Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 9-10 AM. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery.
