Mr. Eber A. VanBrocklin's Obituary
Mr. Eber Allen VanBrocklin, age 60, beloved husband, dad, grandpa and friend, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born in Muskegon on October 18, 1953 to Wilbur and Peggy (Cameron) VanBrocklin and was a life resident of the area. Eber served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He was a graduate of Muskegon Community College and Kendall School of Design and was currently employed at The Brake House in Fremont. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed restoring old cars. On December 18, 1977, he married the former Helen K. Wesley in Muskegon and she survives him along with his four children, Victoria (Nate) McCrimmon, Bonnie Bittick, Wesley VanBrocklin and Steve DeJohn; two granddaughters, Shelby Bittick and Audrey McCrimmon; his sister, Peggy Ann VanBrocklin and many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2014 at The Lee Chapel with military honors performed under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service.
