Eddie Whisler's Obituary
Mr. Eddie Whisler was born July 7, 1939, to Henry and Doris (Fairfield) Whisler and lived in Muskegon his whole life. On March 19, 1960, he married Cookie Bates who survives him along with their 3 children, Mitch (Deb) Whisler, Glen Whisler, Lori White and Special daughter-in-law, Sandy Whisler; 9 grandchildren, Candi (Brian), Monica, Robert, Mandy, Rachel, Ellen, Eddie, Michael and Ashleigh; 4 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Chelsea, Seth, Steven and 2 on the way.. He is also survived by 4 sisters, Joan Griswold, Geri Cromley, Shirley (Bob) Hegedus of Cedar Springs and Donna (Rudy) Schaub of Ruskin Fl; 2 sister-in-laws and 3 brother-in-laws. Ed retired from C.W.C foundry in 1981. In the 60’s and 70’s he loved to race at Thunderbird Raceway, Whisky Ridge and Marne Raceway. He loved watching NASCAR and playing with his grandchildren. Per Ed’s wishes cremation has taken place and he wanted all of his family and friends to gather and celebrate his life. A CELEBRATION will take place 2 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Eddie and Cookie’s home. In lieu of flowers please consider Harbor Hospice.
