Edith A. (Minniear) Polidan's Obituary
Mrs. Edith A. (Minniear) Polidan, age 88, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010. She was born June 20, 1922, in Stoddard Co., Missouri to Lee and Agnes (Bright) Minniear. Edith married Harry L. Polidan on October 26, 1946 in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2002. Prior to her retirement, Edith worked as a clerk for Hardy Herpolsheimers Department Store. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was also active with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #599. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Kenneth (Sharon) Polidan of Norton Shores, Barbara (Roger) Funkhouser of Traverse City, Randall Polidan of Edmonds, WA, and Judith (Edward) Barth of Franklin, MA; 8 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, and 1 step-great-grandson; 2 brothers, Joe (Eva) Minniear, Robert Minniear; and 1 sister, Julia Dunn. A FUNERAL LITURGY will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 30, 2010 in Marian Chapel at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with Deacon Bill McCabe presiding. INTERMENT will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS in lieu of flowers may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
