Mrs. Edith Romayne “Rody” Postmus, age 70, passed away quietly at home Sunday, November 12, 2006 after a long illness, with family at her side. She was born August 30, 1936 in Muskegon to Garrett and Helen (Fors) Westfield and had been a life resident. “Rody” was a long-time employee and retiree of the Muskegon Co-Op Federal Credit Union where she was a loan officer. She leaves behind to cherish loving memories of her: former husband and love of her life, Mert; 2 sisters, Lorraine Dewald of Muskegon, Charmaine Zimmerman of Grand Rapids; 5 children, Linda VandeGuchte of Norton Shores, Wayne (Don Veitenheimer) Postmus of Rockford, MI, Cindy (Mike) Terrien of Racine, WI, Debra (Don) Dekker of North Muskegon, Brian (Cheryl) Postmus of Merritt Island, FL; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her precious kitty, Fraidy. “Rody” was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers-in-law, Charles Dewald and William Zimmerman.
