Mr. Edmond "Ed" Bouchard Jr.'s Obituary
Edmond “Ed” Bouchard Jr., age 55, passed away surrounded by his family on April 24, 2014. Ed was born on May 1, 1958 to Shirley Durka. He graduated from Muskegon High School in 1977 and earned his Associates Degree in Business from Baker College. Ed married the love of his life, and mother of his children, Marlene Schutter on April 8, 1978. Ed worked as a contractor for many years, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed motorcycling, “drive- abouts”, going out to eat with friends and family, spoiling children with lavish amounts of candy earning him the beloved title of “Candyman”. Ed was devoted to his family, which earned him the title of “Special Ed”. He was a loving, caring, strong-willed, family man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; children, Dawn (Tyler, Karen) Every, Samantha (Marcus Moe) Cummins, Margaret (Dwayne Hoek) Pibuldhanapatana and Eddie (Jessica) Bouchard; “adopted” children, Randi, Corey, Allen, Jerry, Coty and Michael; 14 grandchildren; mother, Shirley Durka; sisters, Cindy (Charlie) McCarthy, Shirley Eaton, Jerri-Lynn (Bob) Fleer, Lisa (Glen) Westlake and Dawn Plunkett; sisters-in-law Cheryl (Karl) Botbyl and Toni (Kurt Thomas) Greiner; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father Walter Durka and Aunt Carol Jaunese. A special thanks to his nurse, Pam and his aide Sandy, whose help was priceless. A memorial service is being held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at: The Walburn Chapel 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Ed’s family for funeral expenses
