Edmond "Quinn" Villanueva's Obituary
Edmond Quinn Villanueva, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Muskegon, MI, surrounded and held by many people who loved him dearly. Quinn was born on April 30, 1971, to Ruben and Sherry (Gunther) Villanueva in Muskegon. He graduated magnum cum laude with an associate’s degree of applied science from Baker College. Quinn had an intelligent mind, he loved reading poetry and literature. He was also artistic and loved to draw. He was a strong and motivated person who always persevered through the many obstacles that life gave him, and he did so with a positive attitude and a sense of humor. He was deeply faithful and always forgiving to those who had wronged him, and he was a wonderful friend to those who knew him. Throughout his life he touched the lives of many and was an inspiration to them all.
Quinn will be lovingly remembered by his father, Ruben Villanueva; sister: Theresa (Jim) Vredeveld; grandmother: Marge Gunther; three nieces and nephews: Kassidy (Ke’Andre Baston) Vredeveld, Trenton (Becca Hunt) Vredeveld, and Sierrah Vredeveld; great niece, Aurelia Vredeveld-Villanueva; beloved cat, Jett; special friends, Mary Abbott, Ann Saigeon, and Bill Mueller; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Villanueva; three grandparents: James Gunther and Francisco and Maria Villanueva; and two infant great-nieces: Angel and Katelyn Vredeveld.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be taking place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Bethany Church, 1105 Terrace St. Muskegon, MI 49442. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be taking place 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, as well as at church an hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with Quinn’s final expenses.
